PEA is a fatty acid amide made in the body. It performs a variety of biological functions related to chronic and neuropathic pain and inflammation. These include diabetic neuropathy, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathic pain, osteoarthritis, low back pain, chronic pelvic pain, post-herpetic neuralgia and neuropathic pain in stroke and MS.
To date 20 clinical trials and nearly 2000 patients have been treated with PEA with positive results. Worldwide more than 800,000 patients have been treated with PEA. There has been no reported side-effects or medication interactions.
Take 1 capsule twice a day, then 2 capsules twice a day after a few weeks. Can take up to 4 capsules twice day. Does not need to be taken with food. Very little interaction with other medications.
May be taken with a multi-B vitamin which is beneficial for nerve health, or Turmeric to decrease inflammation. Magnesium Glycinate 200mg capsules are also beneficial to relax muscles and help with symptoms of stress, which can aggravate nerve pain and chronic pain. As chronic pain and inflammation increases the body's need for Tryptophan, it's important to make sure you get adequate amounts of Tryptophan (for example from foods rich in Tryptophan such as turkey meat, nuts, seeds, cheese, lentils and eggs or from a protein powder). Tryptophan converts to 5HTP which then converts to Serotonin, and then to Melatonin, so chronic pain and inflammation can also affect your mood and sleep patterns.
Most people who are in pain comfort eat and consume more foods that have a high amount of carbohydrate or sugar. These foods can cause inflammation in the body so they should only be eaten in moderation, and foods that have high percentage of protein should be eaten instead to maintain adequate levels of serotonin, endorphins and GABA. The production of one molecule of endorphin requires up to 20 amino acids! Endorphins are the body's natural-painkillers and GABA is a neurotransmitter that relaxes the nervous system. Muscle relaxants such as Diazepam or Valium binds to these receptors in the body.

"It is fantastic, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in pain relief. My facial neuropathy in trigeminal nerve v1 area has reduced dramatically and paresthesia of last two fingers has reduced also. Paresthesia of shoulder and inflammation / tightness around traps has also reduced. It’s not a cure all but it certainly has provided a lot of relief."
Lisa ( after taking PEA for a week. Lisa takes 1 capsule twice a day, and increases to 2 twice a day if she notices her symptoms are worse)

It is fantastic, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in pain relief. My facial neuropathy in trigeminal nerve v1 area has reduced dramatically and paresthesia of last two fingers has reduced also. Paresthesia of shoulder and inflammation / tightness around traps has also reduced. It’s not a cure all but it certainly has provided a lot of relief. I’m taking 1 in morning and one in evening. If I feel tight or tingly I take 2 x 2 times a day.
