This new healing balm was formulated for those who may be allergic to propolis or pollen. It is 100% natural and vegan.
Our organically crafted Manuka Essential Oil is the key hero ingredient. It is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the flowering Leptospermum scoparium ct East Cape shrub. Manuka Oil has been treasured for centuries by the Maori people, who are indigenous to New Zealand, where the low shrub originates.
Triketones are key antagonists to gram-positive bacteria (more so than Tea Tree) and are present in elevated levels only in the Manuka found in the East Cape's unique ecosystem. Manuka Essential Oil is considered a broad spectrum for fighting bacterial, viral and fungal infections.
The other key hero ingredient is our organic Wild Thyme Oil, steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of the Thymus serpyllum herb grown in rural Spain to create a fresh and woodsy essential oil. It's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties make it useful against a variety of infections as well as for wound care. It also has potent anti-oxidant and anti-spasmodic properties. Topical application of Wild Thyme Oil can heal wounds and scars, prevent inflammatory pain, moisturise the skin, and even minimise the appearance of acne.
The base is made from healing and hydrating oils such as Avocado Oil and Olive Oil, and Candelilla wax, a plant substitute for beeswax. It has a rich, honey yellow and the Shea Butter which we included in the base helps to keep the skin moisturised and hydrated.
This can be used on skin that is irritated, red, inflamed, dry, peeling or eczema-prone. It's also suitable to apply on cold sores, pimples and acne.
DIRECTIONS: Apply twice daily to affected area. Discontinue use if skin irritations occurs. Consult a health professional if symptoms do not improve. May be used if pregnant or breast-feeding. Store in a cool, dry area.
(A few images provided by a customer, a mum whose son has had eczema his entire life, and was using topical steroids since he was a baby. He stopped using topical steroids 3 years ago and has had regular flares, on this occasion it was one of the worse flare ups. The glands behind his groin, back of his head and neck were very swollen, the sores constantly weeping. He had to miss school as he was in so much pain and he wouldn't go near water as it was horrifically painful for him. Mum was heart-broken to see him going through this. He was already taking a multi-vitamin, Magnesium/Zinc/Calcium supplement, a probiotic and Aloe Vera juice for his gut, and something to help his immune system.
Mum bought the balm to try. He loved using the balm as it didn't sting and was easy to apply. It helped heal his sores, decrease the inflammation, and stop the weeping. Pictures below are over 11 days. They have used a lot of natural creams over the years, but nothing has helped it heal as quickly as this. The only other thing he added to his diet is more Vitamin C, an anti-oxidant high in flavonoids which helps to increase collagen production and assist with wound healing).
Very quick service, with a nice product.Showing promise for the rash. Will keep using.
I am using this in conjunction with Manuka Cream 5% on my hands. I started with active exzema with open wounds and areas of infection two weeks ago. Hands are difficult and the "ointment base " helps stay on the hands with constant washing etc. I am not saying my hands are now perfect BUT no spread of exzema (Which I would have expected by now) wounds are closed and no sign of infection. Normally I would have used Steriods and Antibiotics by now. But I have escaped with great improvement. Hint to anyone trying this cream. It will take some dedication.... but persist ...
